Mrs. Naomi Capps Prince, 89, of Martin, died Sunday, April 21, 2013 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Corinth Baptist Church, Sharon with Rev. Tony Terrell officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Sharon with Murphy Funeral Home of Martin in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will from 5-8 tonight (Tuesday) and after 8 a.m. Wednesday until funeral time at the church.
Andy Pollard, Eddy “Buddy” Capps, Calvin Capps, Michael Turner, Cuz Legens and J. B. Capps will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Prince was born Aug. 24, 1923 in Weakley County, daughter of the late Robert “Bob” Sr. and Beula Moon Vickers. She was the widow of C. E. “Shorty” Capps and Isaac Prince. She was a retired supervisor at Kellwood Manufacturing Company and a member of Corinth Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Eddie Capps of Sharon; three step sons, Mark (Jamie) Prince and Sammie (Cindy) Prince, both of Martin and Gary (Becky) Prince of Missouri; two daughters, Linda (Larry) Pollard of Palmersville and Pam (Thomas) Turner of Martin; one step daughter, Trella Plunk of Sharon; 10 grandchildren, eight step grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 10 step great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Vickers Jr. and Laymon Vickers.
