Another misdemeanor charge has been filed against a Union City man who allegedy used a stolen credit card at local convenience stores.
Eric Wesley Whitby, 37, of 3904 Lindenwood Road was charged Thursday through a misdemeanor citation with a second charge of fraudulent use of a credit/debit card, a Class A misdemeanor, according to a Union City Police Department report.
That charge stems from the alleged use of a woman’s stolen credit card April 12 at Reelfoot Amoco on South Miles Avenue in Union City in the amount of $113.04 in illegal charges. He was served with the second misdemeanor citation at his arraignment Thursday on another charge of fraudulent use of a credit/debit card also levied by Union City police.

Initially, police reported Whitby allegedly attempted to use a stolen debit card one time and then allegedly used a stolen credit card twice for a total of $259.57 in illegal charges April 12 at Little General No. 8 on West Main Street in Union City. Police later learned of the alleged incident at Reelfoot Amoco, resulting in the second charge.
The cards belonged to a 70-year-old Troy woman, according to police reports.
