Obion County United Way chairman Seth Rhenberg checks over some of Margaret Cook’s literature from the Obion County Office on Aging during Tuesday afternoon’s United Way funding hearings at the Obion County Public Library. The local senior citizens center was one of 11 agencies that presented funding requests to the United Way Tuesday. A total of $60,000 will be awarded to community agencies by the local United Way this summer. Ms. Cook requested $3,000 from the United Way and said the money would go toward the purchase of nutritional drinks at the senior citizens center. |
