| | Main Street-Union City is planning its annual auction for April 25 at 5 p.m. at the Hampton Centré in Union City. Several of the items available for purchase can be seen at area banks prior to the event. Meeting recently to prepare to move items from Reelfoot Bank to Commercial Bank and Trust Co. in downtown Union City were (from left) Main Street executive director Phyllis Rauchle, Reelfoot Bank employee Michelle Bing, auction chairman Lolly Bearden and board member Jennifer Eason. There will be both silent and live auction items available to bid on that night, with the live auction beginning between 5:30 and 6. There is no charge to attend the event, though there will be a $5 fee for those who wish to eat from the heavy hors d’oeuvres table. Mrs. Rauchle said she is very excited about the items which are being donated this year, including a family membership to Wingfoot Golf Course, guided fishing outings, a boat trip, gift baskets, children’s items and ensembles from ladies’ boutiques. Businesses and individuals who wish to make donations may do so by contacting Mrs. Rauchle at 885-8330 at the Main Street office. | | | | |
