Carolyn Cook Posted: Monday, April 15, 2013 5:00 pm The Messenger, April 15, 2013 Carolyn Cook, 71, of Obion died April 14, 2013, at her home. Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Cryer Funeral Home in Obion, with burial following near Obion in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the hour of services Tuesday at the funeral home. The Revs. Wilson Walley, Bobby Barnett and Robert Johnson will officiate. Hollis Woody, Danny Tate, James Allmon, Allen Norwood, Kane Stacks and Gerald Hollis will serve as pallbearers. The family requests that memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis. She was born Jan. 4, 1942, in Obion, daughter of the late Malcolm and Mary Lou (Barnett) Puckett. She had been a secretary for the City of Memphis and was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Ed Cook; her daughter, Cindy Cook of Memphis; her niece, Sabrina (Puckett) Branch of Memphis; and two grandsons, Nicolas Ryan Cook and Cameron Matthew Cook, both of Springfield.
