Percussion master class planned at UT Martin Posted: Thursday, April 11, 2013 8:23 am The Messenger 04.10.13 N. Scott Robinson will conduct a frame drumming master class from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday in Room 112 of Boling University Center at the University of Tennessee at Martin main campus. Robinson, an adjunct professor of music at Towson University in Baltimore, holds a bachelor of music degree from Rutgers University and a master of ethnomusicology from Kent State University and is currently pursuing a Ph.D in musicology-ethnomusicology. He has diverse experience in world drumming traditions and has performed in Japan, South Korea, Australia and Italy. He has also performed on the stages of Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Apollo Theater and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. The event is $10 per person and open to the public.
