On Wednesday, we did not have our regular service. Instead we had an egg hunt for the kids along with other games and a time of fellowship.
On Sunday morning, our Sunday school lesson was titled, “Called to Holiness” from Exodus 19:1-25. This lesson taught us how to value holiness in our daily lives and by God’s power strive to attain it.
We sang “Happy Birthday” to Robert Baker and Dawn Dyer. Others celebrating this week were Jeannie Timmons, Jacob Nemyer and Sybil Wright.
Bro. Robert Baker led the congregation in singing “Amazing Grace,” “I’ll Fly Away,” “Leaning on the Everlasting Arms” and “Standing on the Promises.”
We were glad to have our visitors this morning.
Bro. Prince brought our morning message, “Christ Is Risen,” from Acts 1:3, Luke 24:34, and 1 Corinthians 15:17-18, 20.
That evening, we sang, “Have Thine Own Way, Lord” and “I Surrender All.” Scripture reading was from 1 Corinthians 11:23-33. We observed the ordinance of the Lord’s Supper.
Next Sunday at 5 p.m, we will have a retirement service for former pastor, Bro. Kieth Dublin. Everyone is cordially invited to attend.
