We opened our services singing “Heavens Jubilee.” Edna Johle taught Sunday school from John 10:11 on the good shepherd.

For our congregational singing we sang “Bring Your Vessels” and “We Shall See the King.” Special music was sung by Patsy Baker “Please Forgive Me.” Melba Carson and Mary harmonizing to “Sweet Peace.”

Bro. Peal brought his text from 1 Samuel 17:1 and Ephesians 6:10-11. He laid six stones on the altar to illustrate the story of David and the giant. David didn’t need Saul’s armor for he had the full armor of God as his faith, as he had already overcome four problems before he took on the giant.

Lin Jones helped lead “Victory In Jesus,” “Are You Washed In the Blood” and “Just A Little While.” We continued our worship of the Lord with specials by Bro Lainhart singing “Where Could I Go.” Patsy sang “Amazing Grace,” “My Chains Are Gone.” Mary sang “I Know A Man Who Can.” Harvey Dildine sang “Live Until I Die.”

Bro. Peal’s evening message was titled “Pray, pray, pray” and was taken from Luke 11:l.

We again formed our prayer circle for the needs of our country and community.
