Pageant set Posted: Wednesday, April 10, 2013 8:00 pm The Miss Spring Dream Pageant will be held April 20 at Gibson County High School Theater in Dyer as a fundraiser for the school’s cheerleaders. Registration will begin at 11 a.m. and the pageants start at noon. Fees will be accepted cash-only at the door and include $30 for beauty only and $7 for each of the five side categories, or $55 for all. There will be an additional $10 fee to compete in the supreme categories. There will be a $10 sibling discount when the second child is entered in the same competition categories as the first. Attire is Sunday best or pageant dress for children ages birth to 11 months and 12-23 months and pageant dress for ages 2 years and older. Age categories include birth to 11 months, 12-23 months, 2 years old, 3 years old, 4-5 years old, 6-8 years, 9-11 years, 12-14 years and 15-19 years. There will be a queen and three alternates in each age group and three mini supreme queens and three grand supreme queens. Side categories include Most Beautiful, Best Dress, Best Personality and Best Smile. A People’s Choice award will also be presented. To compete, the contestant will purchase a voting bag for $2, then audience members will cast their votes by placing money in their favorite contestant’s bag. Admission is $3, with children ages 4 and younger admitted free. One adult will be allowed free admission with a contestant.
