Car reported stolen Posted: Wednesday, April 10, 2013 6:24 pm The Messenger, April 10, 2013 A Union City man has reported his car stolen from a local apartment complex. Zachary Green of 105 East Lee St. told police Tuesday that his silver 1988 Acura Legend was taken from the parking lot of Union City Apartments on Lynn Street, according to a Union City Police Department report. Green reported his vehicle had broken down at the Lynn Street apartments a couple of months ago and, due to his aunt being the manager, he left the car on the parking lot. He returned Tuesday to fix his car and learned it had been taken. According to the report, Green’s aunt told him the car was there the day before. She started calling apartment tenants and one indicated to her, as well as to police, that she had seen three black men load the vehicle onto a trailer pulled by a large white SUV. Green told police a friend had also seen what he thought to be his vehicle on a trailer outside 3 J’s convenience store on East Reelfoot Avenue. Anyone who has information about the missing car may contact Union City police at 885-1515 or Crime Stoppers at 885-TIPS (8477). |
