Solicitation charged

A Jackson man was arrested last week on a sexual solicitation of a minor charge following an investigation involving Martin police.
Jarvis Woods was arrested April 2 for sexual solicitation of a minor by electronic means, according to a Martin Police Department news release.
Woods was arrested after he allegedly solicited an undercover police officer who was posing online as a 15-year-old female. He did this by both written and picture communication, according to police.
The operation also assisted law enforcement in identifying two other alleged online predators and those investigations are still ongoing at this time.
The investigations and the arrest are part of an undercover operation conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Innocent Images Task Force and the Martin Police Department.
