Food distribution set Posted: Friday, April 5, 2013 5:00 pm The Messenger, April 5, 2013 Commodities will be distributed by Northwest Tennessee Economic Development Council, in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, 9 a.m.-noon at the following locations: • Hornbeak City Hall Tuesday for recipients from Hornbeak and Samburg; • Obion Community Center Wednesday for recipients from Troy and Obion: • Thursday at the Union City office at 1015 East College St. for Union City, South Fulton and Kenton recipients. Distribution will be on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, call the service office at 885-0462 or go by the office. Those hoping to receive food must have a blue card. Those who have not yet recertified may do so on the day of distribution. Proper proof of income must be provided for everyone in the household. Because of a shortage of inventory, some food items may run out before everyone receives the same number, a spokesman said.
