EarthDayz is scheduled for 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Fridays through Sundays at Rock City Gardens, located at Lookout Mountain, Ga., now through April 28.
Rock City Raptors Birds of Prey Shows will be featured, as will RockQuest Adventures. The latter involves learning how to make rain barrels and transforming recycled materials into fun take-home projects.
Participants will learn all about how to reduce, reuse and recycle during these educational, interactive activities.
New this year is Rocky’s Haus (German for “house”). Event-goers may visit Rocky in his new home along the Enchanted Trail. Rock City Gardens is also hosting a group of Plein Air Painters (“open air” artists) April 15.
EarthDayz revolves around Rock City’s commitment to reduce, reuse and recycle; its stewardship of nature; and its commitment to education and the environment. Rock City is partnering again with Amicalola Deer Park (www.amicaloladeerpark.com), as well as Orange Grove, to provide park-wide recycling pickup for the attraction.
Visit www.seerockcity.com/earthdayz for more information. Admission is $19.95 for adults and $11.95 for children ages 3-12.
