West Union Baptist Church news Posted: Thursday, April 4, 2013 6:00 pm On Wednesday night, March 20, Bro. Larry read I Peter 1:1-5 and several other scriptures for the night’s message. We were sorry to learn Mrs. Jean West fell and broke her hip recently. After spending a few days in Jackson, she is now at the Weakley County Nursing Home. On Sunday, March 24, Bro. Larry read Matthew 21:8-11 as the scripture text for the message. That night “Passion of the Christ” movie was shown. This was followed by the monthly monthly/fellowship meal. Linda Tucker met with the Joyce Ann (Summers) Jones family and her sister, Cathy at Paris Landing Inn for a time of food and fellowship. They were formerly of Martin and the granddaughters of the late Floyd and Lillie Summers, my aunt. They also visited with Ruby Sutherland of Paris Landing. On Wednesday night, March 27, Bro. Larry read II Corinthians 4:1-5, 9, as the scriptures for the message. On Easter Sunday, West Union church family met with Mt. Pleasant Church family for the early morning Easter service. Mrs. Malinda Mathis sang “His Life for Mine” before Dr. Dale Mathis brought the message titled, “The Invitation to Christian Discipleship.” We certainly enjoyed the message, fellowship and meal. At our regular service, Bro. Larry Clark read John 21:1-14 as the scripture text for the message titled, “It’s The Lord.” As it was fifth Sunday, there were no night services. None
