Pleasant Hill Baptist Church news
Pleasant Hill Baptist Church news Posted: Thursday, April 4, 2013 6:00 pm We enjoyed an Easter service on Good Friday before Easter and observed the Lord’s Supper at the conclusion of the service. What a glorious day to be in church and worship God on Easter morning. Pleasant Hill had an early Easter service at 6:45 a.m., but I hear the crowd was slim due to the weather. After the early service, those who attended were treated to breakfast by some of the Brotherhood men. Our Sunday school lesson was taught by Greg Hahn. Our worship service began with Bro. Elwood, Bro. Mac, Anthony, Angela and Denise playing their instruments and leading us in a hymn. After this, the Celebration Singers presented a mini-concert of songs titled “I Will Rise.” Bro. Elwood and the choir did a great job. Bro. Mac brought his text from John 10:10. We are glad to have Max and Verna Lee home after spending time in Florida for a few weeks. We miss our brothers and sisters when they are not in their spot in Sunday school and church. Kay Wilkes and Dolores Mansfield went to Jackson Sunday morning after church to take their birthday girl, Bonnie Wilkes, out to lunch. Those joining were Buckley Parker and George and Abbey Floyd. They went back to Bonnie’s apartment for birthday cake. It is always good when family can get together. Birthdays for this week are Ryne Reynolds, Michael Maddox and Mallory West. Until next week, may God bless. None
