All-sing event to be held at local church

Posted: Wednesday, April 3, 2013 6:00 pm

The University of Tennessee at Martin’s annual All-Sing event will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday at Central Baptist Church in Martin.
The UT Martin chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, a national social fraternity for men of music, organizes and sponsors the amateur vocal and dance competition each spring. The event is among the longest-running traditional university activities.
Tickets are $10 at the door or $8 if purchased in advance from a Phi Mu Alpha member.
All-Sing is a fundraiser supporting Phi Mu Alpha’s mission to spread a love of music throughout the local community.
Specifically, proceeds go directly to the Elwood and Carolyn Doss fund that supports many Phi Mu Alpha outreach programs such as music scholarships, donations to the Martin Housing Authority and purchasing supplies for music programs in West Tennessee’s public schools.
For more information about All-Sing, contact Michael Richardson, All-Sing coordinator, at (615) 351-7818, or by email at micairc1@ut.utm.edu.
