ON THE HILL — Tennessee Farm Bureau representatives from Obion and Lake counties recently attended the annual Farm Bureau Day on the Hill and met with state Reps. Bill Sanderson (second from right) and Andy Holt (third from left). They enjoyed lunch at the Capitol Grill and then visited Legislative Plaza, sitting through committee meetings and talking to legislators. Farm Bureau is very involved with information and lobbying House members on farming, property rights, environmental, taxing and insurance issues. Attending from Obion County were (from left) agent Josh Simmons, agency manager Hadley Malone, (continuing fourth from left) board member James Threlkeld, board president Mike Hampton, board members Sam Baker and Brenda Baker, who also serves as chairman of Obion County Farm Bureau Women. Attending from Lake County were board director James Flowers (right) and agency manager Dennis Holland (not pictured).
