HANGAR TOUR — A new airplane hangar at Everett-Stewart Regional Airport has been built and several pilots are already using the building to store their planes. Following a recent meeting of the airport board, airport manager Jo Ann Speer (second from right) gave the board a tour of the new hangar. Checking out the facility were (from left) Mike Holman, Wayne McCreight, Kevin McAlpin, Stoney Orton, Jim Bondurant, Dr. Chris Gooch, Mrs. Speer and airport consultant Randy Hudgings. The new hangar cost $451,000 and has five separate units. Construction began on the hangar last fall and was only recently completed. It was built with 10 percent local funds ($45,000), with the remainder of the cost covered by state and federal aviation grants.
