Joe Carl Bratton, 66, of Tiptonville died March 22, 2013, at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center. He was a former resident of Obion County.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Cobb’s Chapel Cemetery near Hornbeak. The family will receive friends at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home 11 a.m.-12:15 p.m. Wednesday.
He was born Aug. 15, 1946, in Yardell, Ark, son of the late Charlie and Mary Francis (Farmer) Bratton. He had been employed as a carpenter and had served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Betty (Still) Whitson Bratton; two sons and his daughter-in-law, Mark and Wendy Bratton of Martin and Brandon Bratton of Tiptonville; two grandchildren, Will Bratton and Maggie Bratton, both of Martin; his brother, Lonnie Bratton of Obion; and three sisters, Genevieve Powers and Phyllis Joseph, both of the Clayton community, and Pauline Semancick of Chaffee, Mo.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond “Buddy” Bratton and Billy Charles Bratton; and three sisters, Ava Rose, Geraldine Morris and Nellie Newman.
