The engagement and forthcoming marriage of Heather Lynn Higgs and Cory Brent Nethery both of Martin, are being announced today.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Marsha Higgs and the late Mike Higgs of Martin.  She is the granddaughter of Ramona Allen and the late Billie Todd Allen of Martin and Velma Higgs and the late James Higgs of Toone.
Miss Higgs is a graduate of Westview High School and the University of Tennessee at Martin, where she earned a bachelor of science degree in exercise science and wellness.  She is currently pursuing a doctorate of physical therapy at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
The groom-elect is the son of Brent and Linda Nethery of Martin.  He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Bobbie Nethery of Martin and Mrs. Donna Flynt of Jeannette, PA and the late Larry Flynt of Martin.
Nethery is a graduate of Westview High School and Jackson State Community College in Jackson, where he earned his associate of science degree as a physical therapist assistant. He is employed as a PTA with North River Physical Therapy in Chattanooga.
The couple will exchange vows at 3 p.m., Dec. 15 at First Baptist Church in Martin.  Music will begin at 2:30 p.m. 
All friends and family are invited to attend.
