The guest speaker will be Bobby O’Dell of Paris.Sunday Bible school starts at 10 a.m., with preaching following at 10:45. All evening services will begin at 7:30. The public is invited, a spokesman said. Gospel singing set There will be a gospel music concert featuring The Booth Brothers and Sisters Saturday at 7 p.m. at Union City Second Baptist Church, located at 831 Everett Blvd. in Union City. Advance purchase Artist Circle tickets are $15, with general admission $12. Tickets at the door will be $3 more than those purchased in advance. Tickets are on sale at the church, at Five Seasons Men’s Store and from Tim Doss. . Celebration service set Pentecostal Tabernacle, located on 16235 State Route 24 South in Water Valley, Ky., will be honoring the Rev. Larry McClure and First Lady Linda McClure for 30 years of faithful service Aug. 10-12. The Rev. Gary Yocum will be the guest speaker at 7 p.m. Aug. 10, with music provided by Jeremiah Yocum. Both are from Redemption Road in Danville, Ky. The guest speaker for Aug. 11 at 7 p.m. will be Dr. Macel Ely of Barnabas International Ministries in Knoxville, Ky., with music by Teresa King of Bethel Fellowship Church in Murray, Ky. Aug. 12 services will start at 10 a.m., with guest speaker the Rev. Michael McClure of Turning Point Ministries in Hickman, Ky. To mark homecoming Hornbeak Baptist Church will be celebrating homecoming Aug. 12. The Rev. Kenneth Basham, former pastor, will be the morning speaker and a pot luck luncheon will follow. Goodly Heritage will present a gospel singing program after the meal. There will be no evening worship service. The community is invited to attend. VBS to begin Vacation Bible School is planned for Saturday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Living Word Church in Hornbeak. Fish fry slated New Beginnings Min-istries in Water Valley, Ky., will host a fish fry Saturday at the Casey-Johnson Community Center at the corner of Greenwood and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. streets in Union City. Serving will begin at 10:30 a.m. The menu will include two pieces of catfish or chicken, spaghetti, white beans, cole slaw, hushpuppies, dessert and drink for $7.50.
