Several students from Obion County were named to the Dean’s List for the spring semester at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.
They included Brett J. Cash of Troy, summa cum laude; Brenna J. Duncan of Union City, magna cum laude; Hailey C. Fishel of Union City, summa cum laude; Jessica L. Hart of Troy, summa cum laude; James B. Marlowe of Troy, magna cum laude; Adam D. Moon of Union City, summa cum laude; Alyssa M. Moore of Troy, summa cum laude; Sarah F. Reese of Union City, cum laude; and Megan L. White of South Fulton, summa cum laude.
To qualify for the Dean’s List, an undergraduate student must earn a term grade point average of 3.80–4.00 (summa cum laude), 3.65–3.79 (magna cum laude) or 3.50–3.64 (cum laude). Students must complete at least 12 credit hours, not counting work taken on a satisfactory/no-credit basis to be eligible.

Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro recently recognized several Obion County students who were named to the Dean’s List for the spring semester.
The honorees included Jacob A. Cleaver of South Fulton; Karleen May Hollis, Joseph D. Marshall, Larry Everett Marshall, Allison Renee McCullough and Katie L. Potter, all of Union City; Jordan L. Qualls of Obion; and Bret Reid Wiggins of Troy.
To qualify for this distinction, an undergraduate student must maintain a current semester grade point average of 3.5 or above and earn at least 12 semester hours.
