I went to the doctor last Friday. Even though the report was about the same as last time, I felt that this time something was different. I felt that my doctor has truly been praying for an answer to my health issues. Now, I know that many doctors believe that they are the one that studied and got the doctorate, but my doctor has always said, “Give all the glory to God because He gave me the knowledge!” and that has meant the world to me.
Just knowing that the doctor that you trust also has faith in the Savior that you believe in is exhilarating. There has never been a time that my doctor said anything other than the praises of God. This time he told me, “we’ll get through this together with God’s help!” WOW!
I thank God for putting this earthly physician into my life. I know that He placed this man into my life in a time in which I was drowning in my own sorrows. My doctor always says the right things to me to cheer me up or better yet, get me to keep the faith. I just want to say a special thank you to the doctor that God has given to me. I pray for him daily and I know he prays for me, too. God truly blessed me when He gave me you as my doctor and friend.
Things are bustling around town. School kids are everywhere and there are lots of activities available for them. If you are looking for something for your child to do, then contact Parks and Recreation Department by calling Bill Bostwick at 456-2031 to see what is on their schedule. Also, if you just need information about our town, you can contact City Hall at 456-2122.
We also have a public library on Main Street. They have computers, books, videos, and many new releases each week. Check them out. Their number is 456-2707.
There are a lot of activities for the seniors also. Be sure you stop by and get their calendar. For more information about Sharon Senior Center, call 456-2213.
If you want your information in our birthday and anniversary list, please email or call me with the information. Today (Thursday) Bobby and Joyce Yancey celebrate their anniversary. Saturday Susan Chappell, Debbie Carrington, Gloria Hogan, Mary Brinkley and Dennis McCormick will celebrate their birthdays. Tuesday David Gaylord will celebrate his birthday.
The thought for the week: “When you feel you’re ‘drowning’ in life’s situations, don’t worry. Your lifeguard (Christ) walks on water!” If you have a thought you would like to share with the readers, drop me an email or call and I will put it in my article. My email is jaegardner@frontiernet.net and phone number is 456-9823.
Well that’s all the news from the Sharon community. Remember to continue to pray for one another, our community and our military. May God have mercy on our land and bless you all.
