Dr. Crim, Hawver plan May wedding Posted: Tuesday, March 16, 2010 8:01 pm The engagement and forthcoming marriage of Dr. Elisabeth Ruth Crim and William Holmes “Bill” Hawver, both of Redondo Beach, Calif., are being announced today. The bride-elect is the daughter of Sandra Taylor Crim and the late Hartwell Thurmond Crim Sr. of Trenton. Her grandparents are the late J.D. and Winnie Taylor of Sidonia and the late Parker and Dora Crim of Trenton. She is a 1984 graduate of Peabody High School in Trenton. She graduated cum laude from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Okla., in 1988, earning a bachelor of arts degree in psychology. She earned master’s degrees in counseling from Regent University in 1990; in theology from Fuller Theological Seminary, Graduate School of Theology in 1998; and in psychology from Fuller Theological Seminary, Graduate School of Psychology, in 1994. She earned her doctorate from Fuller Theological Seminary, Graduate School of Psychology, in psychology in 1998. She was on the Dean’s List at Oral Roberts University in 1987 and 1988; was named Outstanding Young Women of America in 1988; and was named to Who’s Who Among Colleges and Universities in 1990, Who’s Who Nominator in 2003 and Presidential Who’s Who in 2009. She is a licensed psychologist and founder and CEO of Moonstone Center, a holistic educational and healthcare network. The groom-elect is the son of Lemuel and Barbara Hawver of Jacksonville, Fla. His grandparents are the late Edith and William Malchow of Malone, N.Y., and the late William and Merle Hawver of Claverach, N.Y. He is the father of Jason William Hawver, 15, and Lindsey Barbara Hawver, 12, both of Redondo Beach and Palos Verdes, Calif. He is a 1976 graduate of Thomas Edison High School in Alexandria, Va. He earned a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering in 1981 from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va. He served as vice president of Kappa Sigma fraternity. After a full career in manufacturing, holding the positions of plant manager, director of operations and vice president of operations, the groom-elect is presently self-employed as a stock trader. The couple will wed May 14 at 8 p.m. at Wayfarer’s Chapel in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif. A reception will be held May 15 in Hermosa Beach, Calif., and June 26 in Trenton.
