The Messenger. 02.16.09 Johnny Wayne McClure, 58, of Martin died Feb. 13, 2009, at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Ky. He was a retired employee of Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. Services were set for 1 p.m. today at Bible Union Baptist Church in Martin, with burial following in Acree Cemetery in Palmersville. Bowlin Funeral Home in Dresden is in charge of arrangements. The family requests that memorials be made to LifeBeat Pregnancy Care Center in Wynnburg; American Cancer Society; or Shriners Hospital Burn Center or Orthopedic Center. He was born in Fulton, son of Floyd James and Jessie (Tyson) McClure of Tri City, Ky., and was married to the former Barbara Sue Ainley, who survives. He was a member of Bible Union Baptist Church, where he was a member of Brotherhood and was a choir member. Survivors also include two daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy Lee and Bobby Barnett of Wingo, Ky., and Tina Carol and Jim Frye of Newbern; his sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Barry Barber of Palmersville; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Terry and Nancy McClure of Palmersville, Dennis McClure of Mayfield, Ky., and Steve and Rosalee McClure of Tri City; and nine grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Carol Sue McClure; his brother, Jackie McClure; and his grandparents, James and LaVada McClure and Forest and Beulah (Taylor) Tyson.
