Brian King

The Messenger has learned of the death of Robert Brian King, 42, of Hoover, Ala., son of Patricia (Howell) King of Atlanta, a former resident of Union City. He died in a plane crash May 3, 2008.
Services were held in Birmingham, Ala.
He was a graduate of Lipscomb University in Nashville and had been a Church of Christ youth minister in Mobile, Ala., and Florence, Ala. He was a member of Homewood Church of Christ in Birmingham.
Survivors also include his wife, Traci (Shockney) King; three daughters, Alexis King, Kristian King and Hatty King; three sisters, Carol Hartman, Michelle Clardy and Debra Waters, all of Atlanta; his great aunt, Virginia Burnett of Union City; and his uncle, Alonzo King of Union City.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert M. King.
