PATRIOTIC PARADE — Neither the blazing heat nor the coronavirus were enough to scare away Maverick and Harper Eddlemon of Kenton from taking part in the Kenton White Squirrel Festival parade on Saturday. The brother and sister drove their tiny Ford down the parade route after decorating it with patriotic streamers and bows. Although many other community celebrations were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Kenton held a much smaller celebration this year, providing a safer event that still allowed for residents to have a fun day out. The event will be featured on Thursday’s Friends & Neighbors page.
