TURNING 100

TURNING 100 — Gertrude “Trudie” Long Thornton of Union City turns 100 on Wednesday. Born July 24, 1919, near Troy, she said it’s hard to believe she is actually about to reach that historic number. Mrs. Thornton traveled the world with her husband, the late Guy Thornton, and had many great experiences before coming back to her family farm in Troy.
