Linda Barnes
Linda Claire Barnes, 81 of Troy passed away Sunday, Nov. 1, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2026, at White-Mahon Funeral Home, with Bro. Bobby Barnett officiating. Burial will follow in Terrace Hill Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon on Wednesday and run until the time of service at the funeral home.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Ms. Linda as born in Troy on Jan. 15, 1945, to the late Wylie Barnes and the late Lillie Freeman Barnes. She was a graduate of Obion County Central High School and worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber for 30 years.
She is survived by three sisters and one brother-in-law, Joyce Turner, Dot Haley and Carolyn and Roy Griffith, all of Troy; one brother, Randall Barnes of Troy; 13 nieces and nephews, Donna (Danny) Petty of Troy, Jimmy Turner of Troy, Mike (Vicki) Turner of Tiptonville, Linda (Don) Vickrey of Troy, Steve Barnes of Memphis, Becky Smith of Baytown, Texas, Chuck (Teri) Barnes of Summit, Miss., Beth (Brad) Hanson of Atlanta, Randy Barnes Jr. of Martin, Drue Barnes of Munford, Dereck Barnes of Troy, Art Edmaiston of Memphis and Missy Taylor of Troy; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and two sisters-in-law, Dortha and Wanda Sue Barnes.
In addition to her parents, Wylie and Lillie Barnes, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Wylie Barnes Jr. and Charles Barnes; and one brother-in-law, Don Turner.
