Velma Stover
Velma Lee Stover, 85, of Union City passed away Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2026, at the Obion County Nursing Home.
Graveside services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Ararat Cemetery near Troy. Kevn Thomason will officiate.
There will be no visitation and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the service.
Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Velma was born March 19, 1941, in Obion County, daughter of the late Marvin and Docie (Boone) Harrison. She married Harold Stover May 17, 1963. He preceded her in death Dec. 17, 2015. Velma had been employed as a secretary at the First National Bank of Memphis for 24 years prior to moving back to Obion County in 1986. She was a homemaker and a member of Main Street Church of Christ in Troy.
She is survived by her cousin and his wife, Aaron and Toni Boone of Obion who were her caretakers for 10 years.
