Eddie Norton
Van Edward “Eddie” Norton, 65, of Union City passed away Saturday morning, Sept. 12, 2026, at Baptist Health in Paducah.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1 pm Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026, at the White-Ranson Funeral Home Chapel. Kevin Steele will be speaking on behalf of the family. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery near Union City.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026, from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at White-Ranson Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Obion County Hometown Walk of Hope at 902 Perkins St., Union City, TN 38261.
Eddie was born Jan. 10, 1961, to the late Howard Allen Norton and the late Wanda (Burns) Norton. He married Donna Toon Norton on May 30, 1996. She survives.
Eddie was a truck driver for most of his life, hauling various products throughout his career. He was a member of the Reelfoot Longbeards Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation. He was also an avid fisherman who enjoyed spending time outdoors. Eddie had a passion for competitive grilling and participated in competitions throughout the area. He also operated Hogman’s Pit Crew, sharing his love of cooking and good food with others.
He is also survived by his brother, Dale (Karen) Norton of Union City; niece, Amy (Brian) Johnson of Union City; nephews, Jason (Andrea) Norton of Union City and Chad (Amanda) Norton of Shawtown; and grandchildren, Austin (Reagan) Norton and Ali Beth Norton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Justin Ryan Norton; and his stepdaughter, Michelle Renee Wade.
