Bobby Brown
Mr. Bobby Owens Brown, 81, of Troy passed away 1:01 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2026, at his home.
Funeral services were conducted at 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21, in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. His nephew, Jason Kemp, officiated. Burial followed in Mt. Ararat Cemetery near Troy.
Pallbearers were Travis Peal, Jason Kemp, Jip Lofton, Jerry Ross, Rob Nettles and Vince Brown.
Visitation was held at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until the hour of services Aug. 21.
Bobby was born Dec. 15, 1944, in Troy, son of the late Hubert Hensley and Ruby Christine (Raymer) Brown. He married Norma Louise (Gill) Brown on Jan. 10, 1962. She survives. Bobby’s lifelong passion was farming, a love he proudly passed down to his grandson. He owned and operated Brown Farms and worked for the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company for 30 years. He also owned and operated West TN Motorcoach, which gave him the opportunity to drive for country music legend Hank Williams Jr. In addition to his many endeavors, Bobby served his community as a reserve sheriff’s deputy.
He is also survived by one daughter, Jackie (Ron) Richardson; one grandson, Travis (Chanda) Peal; two great-grandchildren, Carter Peal and Kinze Peal; and one sister, Betty Sue (Jerry) Chandler, all of Troy.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Billy Brown; and two sisters, Shirley White and Linda Kay Brown.
