Paul Sternisha Sr.

Mr. Paul Sternisha Sr., 79, a resident of Union City, went home to be with the Lord on Sept. 1, 2026.
Memorial services were 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, 2026, at Union City Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Rev. Glenn Watts officiated.
The family received friends following the service on Saturday in the fellowship hall at the church.
Mr. Sternisha was born on Nov. 23, 1946, in Gowanda, N.Y., to the late Joseph and Gloria (Marchlewski) Sternisha. On Feb. 18, 1984, he married Karleen (Clough) Sternisha. He enlisted with the U.S. Navy for a short time before enlisting with the U.S. Coast Guard where he retired. He finished his Bachelors Degree at Indiana University, then went on to get his Masters of Divinity from Christian Theological Seminary. He was a Pastor of several churches in his career before settling in Union City where he retired.
He was a public servant from the age of 19 volunteering with the area Rescue Squads or Fire Departments.
He was a member of Union City Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
The family requests memorials be sent to Union City Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Karleen Sternisha of Union City; a daughter, Linda Baldwin of Kalamazoo, Mich.; son, Andrew Sternisha of Dallas, Texas; grandson, Nathan Hull of Waterloo, Ind.; sister, Mary Jeanne Ramsdell and husband, Randall, of South Bend, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his son, Paul Sternisha Jr.; daughter, Tiffany Sternisha; and brother, Carl Sternisha.
