FIRE TANKER CRASHES
FIRE TANKER CRASHES — A Samburg-Reelfoot Volunteer Fire Department tanker crashed Sunday afternoon while two of its firefighters were responding to assist at a field fire on Walker Tanner Road, just outside Union City. The tanker, loaded with 3,000 gallons of water, rolled on a sharp corner and came to rest upright. The driver was treated at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City. His wife, who was ejected from the truck, was flown to Regional One Health in Memphis. Both were treated and released without serious injuries, fire officials said.
