Shirley Wright
Shirley Faye Wright, age 81, of Union City passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
White-Ranson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
There will be a private family service held at a later date.
Shirley was born in Halls on Sept. 28, 1944, to the late Levoie London Sr. and the late Josephine Tomlinson London. Shirley married Mr. Billy Connelly and had two children. She then married Mr. Jerry Wright on July 13, 1983. He preceded her in death on Dec. 31, 2006. She worked for Brown Shoe Company for many years.
She is survived by her daughter, Carlotta Terry of South Fulton; her son, Billy Connelly of Greenville, Mich.; three grandchildren, Franklin Wright, Matthew Wright and Vanessa Vaughn; great-grandchild, Gavin Ray Wright; one sister, Betty Pease; and one brother, Levoie London Jr.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one grandchild, Jonathan Vaughn; six sisters, Rebecca London, Demetra Jackson, Diane Wright, JoAnn London Davis, Johnnie Hunter and Scarlett Scallions; and two brothers, Jimmy London and Glynn London.
