Marcelle Johnson
Marcelle Johnson, 85, of Hornbeak went home to be with the Lord 8:55 a.m. Friday, July 10, 2026, at Union City Health & Rehabilitation.
Graveside services were conducted 1 p.m. Monday at Mt. Moriah Cemetery near Obion. Brother Eric Burress officiated.
Pallbearers were her grandsons.
Visitation was held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday
Marcelle was born May 24, 1941, in Camden, daughter of the late C.W. McNulty and the late Emma Margaret (Kilgore) Sewell. She married Brother Robert Johnson April 14, 1958. He preceded her in death Nov. 10, 2024. Marcelle was a member of Hornbeak Baptist Church and a homemaker.
She is survived by her six children, Robert Wayne Johnson (Marilyn) of Huntingdon, Tammy Ann Cooley (Mike) of Lawton, Okla., Timothy Joe Johnson (Susan) of Troy, Jeffery Todd Johnson (Lisa) of Hornbeak, Michael Craig Johnson (Donna) of Bay Minette. Ala., and Mitchell Keith Johnson (Melissa) of South Fulton; 22 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Linda Everett (Roy) of Chillicothe, Ohio.
She was also preceded in death by one grandson, Robbie Dewayne Johnson; and two sisters, Pearlene Crittendon and Bonnie Cunningham.
