Joe Parsons
Joe David Parsons, 68 of Troy passed away Monday, May 18, 2026, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 21, 2026, at White-Mahon Funeral Home, with Bro. Tony Keeton officiating. Burial will follow in Terrace Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 20, 2026, beginning from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Billy Hicks, Michael Bailey, John Hicks, Mac McCullough and Mason Parsons will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Parsons was born in Dorena, Mo., on July 21, 1957, to W.D. Parsons and Mildred Upchurch Miller. He married Linda Walker Parsons on March 30, 1977. She survives. He worked as a truck driver for Western Express Trucking Company.
In addition to his wife, Linda, Mr. Parsons is survived by his mother, Mildred Miller of Shawnee, Okla.; his son, Joseph Parsons (Jennifer Mason) of Troy; his daughter, Stephanie Caudle (Todd) of Union City; five grandchildren, Sydney and Mason Parsons of Dyersburg, Addison Caudle of Union City, Garrett Clark of Troy and Rebecca Parsons of Michigan; two brothers, Roger Parsons of Hornbeak and Doyle Parsons of Michigan; two sisters, Denise Bramlett of Union City and Shelia Parsons of Oklahoma; his sister-in-law, Brenda Pierce (Wilburn) of Roellen; and his brother-in-law, Billy Hicks (Twilla) of Friendship.
Mr. Parsons was preceded in death by his father, W.D. Parsons; and two brothers, Duncan and Duane Parsons.
