Frances Kuykendall
Mrs. Frances Kuykendall, 83, of Kenton passed away Thursday morning, April 9, 2026, at her home.
Funeral services were conducted noon Monday at Crosswind Church in Union City. Burial followed in Hollywood Cemetery in Jackson, with Pastor Garrett Quinn officiating.
Visitation was held at Crosswind Church from 10 a.m. until the hour of services Monday.
Pallbearers were Logan Farley, Hunter Farley, Ben Farley, Justus Welch, Haydin Farley and Colby Farley.
Frances was born Oct. 14, 1942, in Haywood County, daughter of the late W.L. and Edna Mabel (Barden) Williams. She married John Kuykendall on June 2, 1969.
She was a retired teacher’s assistant with the Obion County School System for over 20 years and was a 1961 graduate of Haywood County School. Frances was involved many years as a local Girl Scout leader and was an active member of Crosswind Church.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, John Kuykendall of Kenton; two daughters, Kim (Rick) Rummage of Madison, Ala., and Darla (Chris) Farley of Humboldt; nine grandchildren, Justus Welch, Bella Welch, Logan (Aly Carter) Farley, Hunter Farley, Ben (Haleigh) Farley, Haydin Farley, Ashlin Farley, Colby Farley and Max Farley; three great-grandchildren, Dutton Farley, Noelle Farley and Eason Farley; and three sisters, Lanette (Bobby) Pratt of Brownsville, Brenda (Bill) Weaver of Knoxville and Susan (John) Floyd of Hixon.
She was also preceded in death by one sister, Elizabeth “Liz” Towater.
