James Davis
James Raymond Davis, 94, of Troy passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at his daughter’s home.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Troy Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. and run until the time of the service at the church Sunday.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Williams, Taylor Nix, Joe Shockley, Brian Hailey, Ronald Parnell and Jim Calhoun.
White-Ranson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Davis was born in Hornbeak on July 28, 1931, to the late James Ira Davis and the late Ena Mable Cranford Davis. He was married to Bonnie Bailey Davis until her passing. He later married Wanda Joan Hailey Davis. He was a Truck Driver for Signal Delivery and Sears. He also worked as a security guard for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. and was a farmer that raised cows and miniature horses.
He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa Davis Williams and her husband, Gregg, of Martin and Donna Davis Nix and her husband, Johnny, of Covington; his special friend, Beverly Rhodes of Rives; four grandchildren, Kyle Williams, Heather Barner, Taylor (Kristi) Nix and Brittany (Joe) Shockley; four step-grandchildren, Brian Hailey, Brandon Hailey, David Parham and Hailey Camp; six great-grandchildren, Emma Barner, Kaylee Nix, Ginger Nix, Lainey Jo Shockley, Josie Shockley and Bridger Shockley; one great-grandchild, Bennet Minyard; and several nieces and nephews.
