Wanda Carlsen
Ms. Wanda Marie (Evans) Carlsen, 83, of Romeoville, Ill., passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at her home.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, March 21, 2026, in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Ron Gray will officiate. Burial will follow in Hickman City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday.
Wanda was born March 23, 1942, in Hickman, Ky., daughter of the late William Trigg and Nellie Marie (Hickman) Evans. She was a retired machinist for Rexnord in Downers Grove, Ill. Wanda enjoyed traveling and loved animals. She was very patriotic and had a great love for the United States and those who served in the military. Wanda was a Christian.
She is survived by one daughter, Sandra Miller of Romeoville, Ill.; one son, John Carlsen of Joliet, Ill.; her companion, Thomas Benfield of Romeoville, Ill.; three grandchildren, Candice Miller of Collierville, Kalvin D. Sta Romana of Romeoville, Ill., and Cierra Barefoot of Reed, Ill.; one great-granddaughter, Bethany Webber of Collierville; one sister, Rebecca Johnson of Memphis; and one brother, Joe Evans of Cuba, Mo.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Fields and Shirley Watts; and two brothers, George Evans Sr. and Gene Wroten.
