WARMER DAYS — Three-year-old Avani Johnson, daughter of Carly Bruner and Terrance Johnson, both of Martin, took advantage of warmer temperatures Tuesday afternoon to play at Kiwanis Park in downtown Union City. Children wanting to get out and play the remainder of the week will have to dodge rain showers, with the National Weather Service calling for a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms today, an 80 percent chance Thursday, a 30 percent chance Friday and a 90 percent chance Saturday. Time also “springs” ahead at 2 a.m. Sunday.
