Shavaunne Guy
Shavaunne Guy, age 66, of Union City passed away Monday, Feb. 2, 2026, at Union City Health and Rehab.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, 2026, at White-Mahon Funeral Home, with David Long officiating. Burial will follow in Terrace Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday beginning at 11 a.m. and run until the time of service at the funeral home.
Shavaunne was born in Chicago, Ill., on Nov. 4, 1959, to the late Edward Groh and the late Mona Lambert Groh. She married John Guy on Sept. 21, 2012. He preceded her in death on July 7, 2025. She worked for the Tennessee Department of Safety as a Driver’s License Examiner.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Jessica Adams of Nashville; two stepsons, Jacob and John Guy Jr.; three stepdaughters, Dawn Kelly, Julie Adams and Sarah (Steven) Cochrum; her brother, Ed (Ruby) Groh; two sisters, Patti (Ed) Modrowski and Penny Prucha; six grandchildren, Killian Adams, Zora Adams, Coleman Guy, Cora Cochrum, John Guy III and Kris Guy; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, John Guy, and her parents, Edward and Mona Groh, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael and Terrance Schock; two sisters, Shannon Kowalski and Char Bockover; and one grandchild, Izzy Guy.
