Russell Castro

Russell Paul Castro, 51, left this earth for his final flight on Friday, Sept. 26, 2025, in Paris, Tenn. Russell was born in Fort Worth, Texas, on Nov. 26, 1973, to Mary Esther Castro Duncan and raised in Tennessee. He graduated among the Class of 1992 at Union City High School in Tennessee. Russell then earned his Bachelor of Science in Functional Design from Murray State University in 1996. Russell was known as a free spirit. He was an avid skydiver and wingsuit flyer. Russell was creative as well and known to many as an artist, sculptor, photographer and craftsman. Professionally, Russell was an exceptionally skilled furniture and cabinet builder.
Russell will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Mary and Robert Duncan; his brother, Anthony (Hannah Gibson) Clark of Lexington, Ky.; his sister, Angela Clark (Richard) Hermes of Buford, Ga.; his nephews, Grayson and Beckett; his special friends, David Bates of Union City, Tenn., Marc Stringer of Savannah, Ga., and Shereena Spangler of Fredericksburg, Texas. … “Blue Skies, Russell”
A Celebration of Life gathering and service will be held from 2-5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2025, at Tucker, Yocum & Wilson Funeral, 320 West Main St., Georgetown, Ky.
