DOUBLE WINNER

DOUBLE WINNER — Finlee Sanford was a double winner at the Junior Market Livestock Sale at last week’s Obion County Fair, taking home both the Grand Champion and Grand Champion County Born and Raised honors in the hog division. Her 232.80-pound animal sold for $17 per pound or $3,957.60 to Ervin Feed & Grain, Cole & Short, McGuire Farms, McGuire Flying Services and Republic Services. Representing the buyers were (from left) Dave Bragg, Dalton McGuire, Drake McGuire, Greg Ervin and Lucas Wilds. Buyers at the auction broke another record this year, raising $288,195.32 for the Obion County Junior Livestock members who sold an animal at the auction this year. It is also the fourth year in a row that the auction’s grand total has been more than $200,000.
