Mrs. Kathy Sharon McDonald, 78, of Obion received her heavenly wings on Sunday, July 27, 2025.
Funeral services wer held 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, at Cornerstone Community Church in Obion. Bro. Eric Leto officiated, with Rev. Terry English having prayer at Rosehill Cemetery.
Visitation was at the church from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at 1 p.m.
Pallbearers were Jeff Rawdon, Rodney Underwood, Alan Jordan, Randy Evans, Robert McDavid and Casey Hood.
Mrs. McDonald was born in Oskaloosa, Iowa, on July 26, 1947, the daughter of the late Norman and Margaret Sanford Reed. She was a bank teller for 37 years, having served at Foundation Bank in Obion before her retirement. She was a member of Cornerstone Community Church in Obion and of the Methodist faith.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Danny McDonald of Obion; two daughters, Dana McDonald and Leslie McDonald, both of Obion; a son, Travis McDonald of Obion and his partner, Arthur Wooten of Benton, Ky.; and a sister, Gloria (Paul) Perry of St. Cloud, Fla.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Rita and Terry Cole.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made to Hometown Walk of Hope, 902 Perkins, Union City, TN 38261.
