Harold Haynes

Mr. Harold Wayne Haynes, 75, of Union City died Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at his home.
Services were held 1 p.m. on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Brown Chapel AME Church. Interment followed in East View Cemetery.
A visitation was held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at McPhearson-Rawls Funeral Home in Union City. Visitation was also held at the church on June 6 from noon until time of service.
Harold Wayne Haynes was born Oct. 1, 1949, in Union City to Eddie Mae Mitchell and Harold Haynes.
Harold Wayne attended and graduated in 1970 from Union City High School. He held employment at Biltmore, Kinkead and later worked at Coca-Cola Bottling Company for many years where he retired in 2012.
Harold Wayne enjoyed riding his bike and listening to his music. Harold love watching his Cowboys, Walker Texas Ranger and Family Feud. Harold Wayne was an awesome husband and father.
Harold Wayne joined Brown Chapel AME Church at an early age. He served as an usher for many years until his illness. Harold Wayne was united in matrimony to Alice Dukes, Feb. 25, 1978.
Those left to cherish his memories are his devoted wife, Alice Haynes; his children, Angie (Maurice) Kesler of Nashville and Victoria (Christopher) “Shane” Merriweather of Union City; special daughter; Caja Robinson of Union City; one grandson, Jaylen Kesler of Nashville; granddaughter, Katelyn Dean; stepgranddaughter, Shainna Merriweather; one sister, Debbie (Monica) Haynes of Tacoma, Wash.; one uncle; Pete Larry (Marion) Davis of Columbus, Ga.; two sisters-in-law, Ladon Haynes and Katie Arnold, both of Union City; two brothers-in-law; Bobby and Aaron Dukes, both of Union City; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Harold Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie Mae Mitchell and Harold Haynes; his one son, Christopher Jeron Haynes; and a brother, Jerry Noble Haynes.
