Joan Calhoun
Joan Calhoun, age 92, of Union City passed away Friday, May 23, 2025, at her residence.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, May 26, 2025, in Obion County Memorial Gardens, with Bro. Truitt Cockrell officiating. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
White-Ranson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Calhoun was born in Union City on May 1, 1933, to the late Vergil May and the late Lettie Douglas May. She was married to Mr. Robert Frank Calhoun. He preceded her in death on Jan. 3, 2011. She worked for Brown Shoe Company for many years and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Kay Hooper of Union City; two granddaughters, Meghan Pruitt of South Fulton and Serena Calhoun of Union City; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Darryl Keith Calhoun; her grandson, Eric Hinson; two brothers, Alan and William May; and one sister, Jane Pendergast.
