Ray Wilson Jr.
Mr. Ray Curtis “Mutton” Wilson Jr., age 78, of Clinton, Ky., passed away Monday, March 3, 2025, at his daughter’s residence in Bardwell, Ky.
He was a member of Second Baptist Church in Union City and attended Oakton Baptist Church. Ray was a United States Army veteran and served during the Vietnam era. He served in the education system as a coach, school administrator in surrounding counties and was the principal at Hickman County Schools for 11 years.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Wilson of Clinton; daughter, Brandi (Steve) Stacy of Bardwell; son, Curt (Carrie) Wilson of Chico, Calif.; two step-sons, Caleb (Sara) DeWeese and Lukas (Payton) DeWeese, both of Clinton; grandchildren, Jordyn (Seth) Campbell of Lexington, Ky., Camryn Jackson of Clinton, Emma Wilson of Chico, Olivia DeWeese, Trigg DeWeese, Ellie DeWeese, Ila DeWeese, all of Clinton, Gannon (Makayla) Stacy of Bardwell and Foster Stacy of Paducah, Ky.; and two great-grandchildren, Khloe and Piper Stacy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray Curtis Wilson Sr. and Mary Emma McGinnis Wilson.
Funeral services for Ray will be held Thursday, March 6, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Clinton, with Rev. Jerry Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 5, 2025, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home and after 10 a.m. on Thursday until the funeral hour.
