Blondell Sadler
Ms. Blondell Sadler of South Fulton passed away on Jan. 9, 2025, at West Tennessee HealthCare Volunteer Hospital in Martin.
She was born on April 13, 1935, in Fulton County, Ky. She moved to California in 1960 and retired from Kmart Corp. moving back to this area in 1992.
She was of Baptist faith, a member of Rush Creek Homemakers, Red Hat Society and a Camp Fire Girls Leader.
She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and friend. She did not know a stranger.
She enjoyed travel, camping, cooking, playing card games and family reunions. Her hobbies were sewing, embroidery and later years word puzzles.
Ms. Sadler was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Sadler; her parents, Thurman H. Goodwin and Viola P. (Hill) Goodwin Moore; and one brother Thurman Glynn Goodwin.
She is survived by two daughters, Teresa Sadler of Union City and Karen Verkler of South Fulton; two sons, John Sadler of South Fulton and I. David (Donna) Sadler of San Jose, Calif.; six grandchildren, Marcus Verkler, Ryan Sadler, Dayna (Donnie) Jaco, Sean Sadler, Kenna Sadler and Nikolas Sadler; eight great-grandchildren; one half brother, Frankie Moore of Paducah, Ky.; two nieces; two nephews; and many cousins.
Private graveside services will be held at Pleasant View Memorial Gardens for Ms. Sadler.
Hornbeak Funeral Chapel-Fulton is in charge of arrangements.
