Gerald Freeman

Gerald Glenn Freeman, 93, of Sharon, passed from this life to his new home in Heaven on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2024. On Feb. 1, at the First Baptist Church of Sharon at 1 p.m., a service will be held followed by a private burial at Tansil Cemetery. He was born May 23, 1931 in Sharon. Gerald dearly loved Southern Gospel Quartet music. He was a part of the Calvary Quartet in the greater Chicago area for approximately 15 years and recorded several albums. He was a lifelong deacon in his church. His life and love for the Lord leaves a lasting legacy for his family. He is survived by three children, Fred Freeman (Betty), Linda Pettit and Karen Winch (Greg); 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and five great great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 75 years Helen Sue Wright Freeman.
